An Italian Sea Glass Odyssey

An Odyssey is described as  “an epic journey”.  I am sharing a story penned for  Beachcombing Magazine of how I came to visit my ancestral hometown and hunt for sea glass along the Italian coast. It was an unforgettable journey, and one I hope you enjoy reading!

I so enjoyed reading your post, as my husband and I will also be staying at Ornella’s b&b in July! Thank you for the info about Vasto, I can’t wait to see it for myself. We have decided to only visit the east coast as we think the west side will be too busy with the summer crowds! I was a bit disappointed that I will be missing out on the sea glass on the Amalfi coast and Capri, but from your blog, I’m reassured that there is also lovely treasure to be found around Vasto. We will be sailing in Croatia afterwards…haven’t heard much about sea glass there, but I’ll keep my eyes open, for sure 🙂
Any tips or suggestions for our upcoming trip would be valued.
